Went to the cemetaries to "Shao Mu" with my dad and mom yesterday morning. In accordance to chinese tradition, we were supposed to do so on Qin Ming, which I think began like quite sometime, even before I returned from Beijing, but in the recent weekends, we were either not in the country or busy, so this year we were late. But we went nonetheless.
This is the buddhist section of the graves (IF i am not mistaken) the mass graves at Thomson has been divided into several sections, according to religion.
This is a shot from the back. These was ALOT of mosquitoes at the time... more then I recall from last year..apparently, our fees to the grave keeper don't include fumigation :P so as mum went about preparing the stuffs, me and dad was like figiting non stop, trying to keep those mozzies away from the exposed parts of our bodies. Lucky i wore jeans, my dad on the other hand wore shorts .. so he had it worse. After shaoing mu at the open grave sites, we headed down to the monastry where their ashes were kept, to burn offerings and to visit their urns.
Rows and rows of urns were stacked onto rows and rows of shelves. It was like a library of urns. As always, we had some problems finding the right urns, but we eventually found them. Out of respect for the dead, I have blanked out the names and pictures of the other urns except for that of my paternal grand dad. (the one right at the back) apparently, they had moved his urn from another shelf. My wish when I die ? To have a place in the christian seciton of the graves, with a simple white cross made of marble (hopefully) or stone (much like the ones in Saving Private Ryan), either that OR in some secluded and unmarked spot. Also, I would very much like my ashes (if i am to be cremated) to be scattered into the seas, preferably not the ones around asia, somewhere nicer like the carribean or the pacific ocean :P
Caught a midnight movie yesterday, the Hills Have Eyes 2, somewhat similar story plot to the first hills eyes movie, but this time round it was a group of National Guards service men AND women who entered the nuclear test zone. On the whole, the movie was pretty good in terms of gore factor, but in terms of story plot, wasn't that amazing what so ever. Much like the movie Hostel. And it was more or less ruined no thanks to a group of about 10 or so mutt schmucks who were making a god awful lot of noise, and in malay summore.... but i try to forgive them, knowing that animals will be animals, though I was really tempted to call the management up to have them shut the fuck up. Some minah fag even brought her doll along ... (freaking 20-30+ lady clinging onto a freaking doll... can you belief this shit... and in public summore) I just kept the lesson in mind, which was thought by the techer in WISP, that malays are a very communal group of people, and together with the fact that when one is in a large group, one has no fear, AND in this case, no dignity. So is WISP actually working ??? I say yes. But this event has nonetheless again given me a bad impression of such people, the ones who ride motorcycles (cause they had their faggy looking helmets) in groups... If this was Khandahar or something, I might have just as well as killed them all... these guys are Stinking filthy no good pieces of crap who feed on society's life blood and give back nothing but their vile shits in return....

TGIF ! Unfortunately, today my day ended late..... ended school at 330+pm, then waited till 5pm for airrifle ... like freak man, I was super happy to see SJH, Von, 7points, tami etc. when their lectures ended at about 430 liddat.... I had been bumming around at the underpass since tutorial ended, bored as hell ! 2nd week of tutorials seemed fine, the project group is more or less settled, just glad that the 2 new ppl who entered were willing to stick with me and syd for more or less all out projects. Briefing from our attached company , M1 will be on monday, I shalt maketh this prediction now - after mondays briefing, the projects will more or less officially start, and I belief all hell will break loose :P Final year projects from what I have heard and seen in the lectures are not that easy !

First IBS tut was freaking fun too, we were learning how to approach people and make small talk :P hahas. I was really tempted to start something along the lines of - "hello Mrs Chew, Im Ken ong from F&B enterprises, heres my name card - - btw, is that a picture of your family members? your daughter looks really hot" :D but ofcourse I did not lar, tt would be paramount to suicide!

Mom returns from KL ! She got me the most wierdest looking pair of slippers ! looks like some olden caveman or spartan made it :P .. unique .. unique

hmm.... not often you see this kind of lights in the SBS bus. . I did not realise anything atfirst, but i suddenly realised.... the red lights made it look like a mobile brothel :P hahas
Finally, we reached CEDANS and the fun began ! Everything starts off with zeroing the rifle ! (ofcourse I would not have needed to do this if I was assigned a rifle for myself :P but even competitive shooters don't get one from NP, so a non com shooter like mua should not even think of that :P

After training, headed straight home, was actually planning to go to newton circus, but scrapped it after my "free ride home" bailed out :D (sorry jo hahas :P) Happened to meet my dad on the road LITERALLY, I was crossing the junction when I saw his car :P freaking crossed to the middle of the road and entered -_- After that, because I had not taken dinner yet, we headed to this place at bukit timah road for dinner cum supper with mum !

MCom lecture, where some dude presented his advertisement to the hall. Apparently, this did not go too well, because the video kept going back to buffering mode... I wanted to take picture of the XXX adverts flashing on the top and the side bars, but was too slow :P
Once again its a wednesday....I actaully like wednesdays for 2 reason, IBS lecture, and the fact that I am finally halfway through the week ! MCOM Tutorial was cancelled, which made this particular Wednesday even more enjoyable :) So it was just lectures the entire day. Had lunch at C3 after the MCom lecture, in which I had a freaking long 2hour break.... Seriously, this is probably one of the reasons why I would HATE wednesdays... all the long breaks ...its just a waste of the entire cohort's and what is infinately worse - my time. ..

Anyways, tami requested for "blood" (or more commonly known as Bundung), but we (mika, SJH and myself) decided to add a, or rather A FEW secret ingredients :D - mocha, lime juice, lemon barley and lemon tea. The result of which was this ghastly cocktail ! hahas, the pictures show precipitation of the solution about 10 or so minutes between each picture.Apparently, the heavier bundung molecules began to separate and sink down, leaving the lighter water and lime or whatnots floating to the top :P Me and SJH actually took a sip each, tasted quite all right, but would make you barf if being ingested continuously ....
2pm pratas ! So named, because we bought them at 2pm... for the sake of passing time, mika came up with the idea of waiting till 2pm before buying food.... was like freaking hungry sia, but I held on, and finally the time arrived :P Honestly speaking, I think this is like my 3rd time only eating banana prata in my whole life... ( Unless ofcourse if my parents fed me that stuff when I was a baby or what lar..) Though I live like super close to a famoous prata place, Im not really into the habit of dining there, only occasionally when friends come over. Infact, I never had the liking for bananas, cause it makes my mouth all sticky and gooey, and eventually makes me thirsty, but cooked ones I don't mind. So on mika's recommendation, I tried one and a half at C3, I actually bought 2, but I could never finish the second one. (which is kinda scarey sometimes, at my prime, I was able to like down a large pizza and 8 KFC chickens... )
The ones at C3 is really good, but the sad case is, you gotta queue.... but when you do get the food eventually, theres a big payoff waiting for you ! They actually use fresh bananas, I personally saw the lady taking the fresh bananas into the kitchen !
Anyways, after lunch and talking cock, IBS finally arrived. It was actually quite light and quite pleasant (AS expected), and it even ended like 1 hour ahead of time! Was supposed to do pt today, but because of the rain, I did not go :P I actually found out later that only the organiser and 2 other guys were present.. quite sad lar actually... I mean, as a year 2 student, and being so enthu as to organise an event for the club, and having close to noone attending, it would really be quite discouraging ba.. Im also guessing that not one of the year 3's (myself including) attended the event... I kinda know how it feels, cause I remembered there was actually one time last time when I got a chance to play solo in the band, and my parents did not show up. So like, he is trying his best to organise something for the club, and perhaps even show the seniors something, but noone turns up, it really sux the feeling, but well, there was just too little notice given (the night before via email and sms) and due to the circumstances (heavy rain..). ...
Got home at about 6pm, danged Canon closed at 530.. or not I would have gotten there to collect my eos.. So i decided to give this little bugger a bath ! got him all wet and then applied some nice smelling shampoo to his body. He kinda enjoyed it I think, cause he wasn't really moving or struggling much throughout the entire process!

a day like no other

The day started bright and early for me today, 730am I woke from bed and began my usual routine - Piss in the basin, brush teeth at the basin, wash face at the basin, put on T-shirt and Jeans, put on my 2nd pair of eyes, style my hair and then head down to the exit and to Kent Ridge bus terminus... ok, maybe not piss in the basin :P hahas gotcha ! (i do that sometimes tho >.<) First lesson was MarketResearch at 18 04 02, with JLee ! Really enjoyed his lesson, very funny guy, captivating tutorials, unlike the normal "answers exchange" tutorial, we actaully had a mini debate in class to exchange the answers ! Did a case study on sublimal (subconscious) messeges given to the public by organisations/ businesses inorder to evoke a subconscious response to something (in this case, to lessen shop lifting), and what do I know, JLee was one of the actaul researchers involved in the project !! hahas, cool har, having the actual guy with experience come teach and lecture us ! Also, my fears of being public/ class enemy no.1 for farking up a classmate yesterday seems somewhat allayed, today we worked perfectly fine in the group discussion debate. As for the other 2, hopefully, we will not receive the same treatment I gave the 1st classmate with respect to grouping... (what goes around comes around.. I am beginnning to fear this phrase), but I guess today seemed alright, and there were somewhat "tell tale signs" that what goes around will not be coming around to me anytime soon, I hope it never does.. [I console myself to the fact that I had to make a choice between the lesser of 2 bads (NOT Evils), sometimes a choice has to be made nonetheless] Then after JLees class was SM lecture FWAH !!! this one ar.... SI BEH BUAY TAHAN ar... SUPER Boring sia... and to top that up, its located in hall 68, WHICH just happens to have "cinema" seat and cushion layout ... really tempting to sleep la..... hahas... actaully filmed down some people sleeping in the hall, but the dang SD Card bailed out on me sia... dun noe why it suddenly say cannot read card... then I sian tiao liao, so I just continue with lecture lo.
After school at 1pm, met with TB29 gang for lunch at C2, I ended up crashing the 3pm lecture conducted by my beloved ex OM teacher :P hahas. So I had to postpone my plans to collect my eos from canon today. Oh man... the laksa yong tau fu at C2 is just to die for !! My 2nd bowl of Laksa Yong Tau Fu in 2 years :P hahas. After the very interesting Customer Relationship Management lecture WHICH I swear was somewhat similar to Sales Management lecture (the boring one I had earlier in the cinema lecture hall), we hung around in school waiting for Ame. Then there was this 2 girls from Entrepreneur Club who came to talk to me and SJH ... atfirst when one of them took the chair, I was thinking "eh?! wth ar, canteen so empty... why wanna take our spare chair sia"... but anyway, I said go ahead lar. Then they identified themselves and began talking to us about EntreClub.

Then freaking funny, SJH was showing his dulan face and unresponsive attitude face haha. At one point, when asked something along the lines of what he may wanna know about the club activities, he answered "just tell me anything that will make your survey end faster" haha I tio stun sia hahas, but they look like yr 2s or 1s la, so we couldnt be bothered. In the end they just helped us pass time. I really "pity" those 2 though, having to face baskets like SJH and myself... kinda reminds me of cold canvassing, which we had learnt in the earlier lecture (essentially means door to door selling) :D

So I came home EVENTUALLY, and was freaking tired, for some wierdass reason la.. hahas, but I decided to play with my hamutaro, the above picture demos his amazing agility and abilities :P Grabbing on my clothes whilst Im standing up right. The white line is my ipod headphones, WHICH he was supporting as well whilst hanging on my clothes.
Dad was back today, so we decided to go get some Tauhui and breadsticks at Geylang! Actually was just there to drink cooling tea, but we headed down from geylang to somewhere near dads office at serangoon for the tauhui and breadsticks... the egg tart I decided was too sinful and left it for tomorrows breakfast ...Behold ! - Singapores favourite method of consuming breadsticks ! Deeping it into soyamilk till soaking wet then eating.

Met with the sec school baskets on sunday for dinner, I actually decided to pick Ikea this time round cause I decided to go for a change rather then the usual town destination. And Ikea, being my new "favourite" place to screw around, and having nice balls, I decided to pick that place! Kiwi told me of a fren who was so crazy over ikea that he bought an item from ikea every month (this month table , next month chair), so Im not too crazy yet hahas, all I got was a picture frame and 10 glass plates ! Anyways, that was how the Sunday was spent, after coming home from the "weekend retreat".
Having eaten this in a LONGGGG time, and the good thing is, Chooch had never tried this before, so I thought that I had picked a good place to eat and meet :)
Added extra cranberry sauce, berry sauce in my opinion (and im a carnivore), goes well with ALMOST everything, and is one of the most understated and underused sauce. (or atleast the chinese/ oriental cuisine don't use it much). There was this one time, I actually decided to go vegan for a meal, I actaully ordered garden salad from TCC..... I greatly regreted it.... the only way i actually managed to finish off the salad was to douse it with loads of cranberry sauce :D It became more of a Cranberry with vegetable dressing rather then garden salad with cranberry sauce dressing :P

First day of tutorial.... I actually don't really the people in my class.. (sometimes I wish I had just taken the easy way out, and follow a friend into the same class ...). I won't really say much, but I feel kinda guilty for f**king someone up... the sitaution is this - Me and another person, sort of know each other, so we were together, cause neither of use really knew anyone else in the class. Then comes person C, who is also a loner in class, then we decided to pull person C into the group for project work (we now have A,B and C, but we need atleast 4 people in a group) ... but later, persons D and E comes along, and we decided to get persons D and E into the group. What then becomes of person C?? Well.... I being the bugger who initiated the conversation and asked person C to join up was thus given the task of informing C that we "no longer need" person C...

Pretty well done for week 1 and 2 duns you think ....
I more or less pissed off one person (person C), though I not sure, but I can probably assume that I pissed person C off, and I divuldged "secrets" to another person whom I thought I can trust... (about this secrets and person whom I can trust), I will not be saying who or what or when. hahas... It will probably all blow off sooner or later, I just hope I don't trip on the finish line... given that I will be doing OIAP, this semester is more or less my last acad semester in NP, before I fly my ass off to middle kingdom :P

Went "galavanting" after school today at Novena! When JQ told me to meet there, my first thoughts was what is at Novena sia ..., but soon after, I have seen that Novena actaully has more to offer then I thought !
LATE ...... or rather, I was early, so was like some chao delinquent, sitting at the top of the Novena square MRT exit :P Was lazy to move down, so I just used the Handphone zoom function. The picture has served its dues.
Velocity @ Novena, saw the adverts on buses and what nots, and today I finally got the chance to go.
First things first :P We grabbed at bite at some chicken rice stall opposite Novena Square, tasted heavenly i must say hahas ... my first plate of chicken rice in a LONGGGGG time too.
Bai Zhan Ji, Hor Fun, Soup, Sambal KangKong, and the rice with the black sauce ... which is not mine (tho I eat it like that too :P)Yummmy ~!!
Today ar... EPM was cancelled.... making me pissed off, as I had to wait 2 hours before the next class WISP ... sat at a corner at the underpass doing my own stuff, then after what seemed like forever, I decided to take a walk, only realising that 1 hours had passed..... Managed to spend the remainder of my time at canteen 2 sitting around watching people and fiddling with my camera, time did pass fast for that one :PAzuki Freeze at TCC, basically, its soya milk blended with red beans. I have crabs to thank for this.
Basically, my first week of school was more or less "si nang", first 3 days was CCA Fiesta, so I spent most of my time at Nav on day 1 and Airrifle subsequently the next 2 days, was like bloody expecting to end early la, but unexpected that I would actaully have enjoyed the CCA Fiesta. Then Thursday was IS day, which again is not really heavy, IS days are always light days lar, best was year one when IS day was on Friday ... haizz... haven't had a friday IS since then, nor a morning one at that... all my IS seems to be stuck on afternoon slots.... And ofcourse, Friday is JB with the gang, so more or less damn lax lar first week.... even got oversea trip summore :P

Tuesday... Lecture at 68 underground. ... mum was like driving around campus looking for the retarded hall lar.. only to recall that it was underground at underpass after the 2nd pass around campus... Saw the calss today, I surprisingly know some of the people, not KNOW them per say, but have seen them around and know freinds who knew them, "Hi - Bye" kinda contacts. I managed to settle the IAP crap also, so now onus is on me to mail the teacher and the company, which means that IS will be on for this semester ... and on an afternoon too... sianz i seriously miss those morning IS lessons lor...

Other then that, day 2 of school was spent at NP Shooting booth, Nav had their own people there today, and the 2 guys I normally talked to knocked off early, so I spent most of my time at Shooting booth ! So strange.... about a year ago or so, I wouldn't bother about such things, like mending a booth, service to team and what sh*t. This time round (I think starting from last open house) I actually feel P.R.I.D.E. for the club and honour in mending the booth ! .... Was initially planning t o ditch the booth so that I could send darling to the hospital, but I actually stayed through, from 1pm right up till 5 ! If you know me, you probably know that I would not normally ditch my precious camera for something like mending a booth... but I did it anyways... Tomorrow, I promise myself I'm going to Canon to F*ck some up... charge me 143 for service and repair, and those assholes did not even bother to clean up the mirror. The body came back, shutter release button still loose, and the mode wheel button not sensitive. To think I actually considered getting a Canon DSLR... they can forget it now, and Im reverting back to Nikon for good.

2 timing @ CCA Open House

1st day of school, and it sux .... It seems that every monday I goto go to LT45 for lectures ... electronic marketing. Sian sia every monday goto climb that mountain ....

Havn't really seen much people from my class yet ... turn out for the lecture was kinda gay ... Im putting it at about say 40% ba atmost... probably all busy at CCA fest or something lar. So im pretty much still in the dark on who is in the class, though I met 2 people whom I know is in the class already ! So its not lone wolf per say :P

CCA fest open house @ NP - Received a welcome sms from NP nav as well as a duty call, for the Nav booth at library, got people to talk to, so wasn't so bored. Airrifle also got people, so I was basically 2 timing Nav and Airrifle today ba. Tomorrow see how ba, probably the same situation. Ah, then first day got homework liao, I was given a FAQ list to memorise for Airrifle hahas, so people ask questions i can answer :P the turn out not bad lar I can say hee.. about 15 or so people signed up (our goal was 30 for the entire 3 days !), but dunno whether they stay anot lars, even got 2 Early Childhood course students signed hahas learn how to shoot then protect their kids :P
Finally DBS gives me the IBanking random numbers security generator :P and whats more, ITS FREEEEEEEeeeeeeee
Im back, and so is school.... haizzzz

Slept at 730am today..... was up throughout the night watching Shooter at midnight and chatting with a friend afterwards in a sleep over (supposedly SLEEP over... but I did not do that). Anyway, my plan was to sleep at 730 and wake at like 1030 or 11am and then head down to Ikea to get a frame for my picture print out. I woke at 3 instead... but it was still good, wasted no time to get down to ikea (thanks to a new toy i got, the 30mins bus ride passed like 3 mins :P)
I got down to ikea, well actually its more or less my first time in ikea with a goal in mind, I normally follow friends or parents, but have nothing in mind to buy, so sometimes it gets boring, but this time I wanted to get a nice frame. (thanks to boss once again, who told me to get it from ikea) Ikea is like my new favourite shopping mall ... hahas, ended up buying a frame and glass plates (I actually once wanted to go to a glass shop and customise glass plates.... cause I did not know ikea sold them and at 90c a plate .... i can freaking buy them and use as frisbee sia O.o
My final product ! For scale, I put a 1 dollar coin on the bottom left hand corner. The picture is about 16 inch if I remember correctly. And the caption reads Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima, then the photographers name and the date and another caption (pulitzer prize for photography. 1945) Anyway, I always wanted to do stuff like that, create a mini display or museum around the place, so visitors in future can read and look around, and also I have some interest in WW2 History as well. The photo enlargement fee in china is also dirt freaking cheap .... was actually considering printing out several photos as well, but the framing would cost.... (this on set me back 19bucks SING) but I well pleased with it lar.
When I arrived home yesterday, I had a surprise waiting for me !!! My new toy, thanks to my jies :) Really been looking at getting one of these video players in sometime, played like 5 or so movies on it liao hahas. Just facinated by it :P once again, I have my jie to thank !

Also, the kitchen fridge was stocked with this .... hahas

flavoured straws. As the milk goes through the flavoured balls, it get flavoured. Tried the strawberry one tonight, and its actually not too bad :P ahahs imported by parents from aust and introed by my sis hahas .

Ah ok goto go ... tmr lecture starts at 9am ...

a week with greek ... and others

And so my intern in Beijing finally ends ! And so will the name "The China Files" - as soon as I touch Singapore soil that is. Having finished the assignment given to me, which was a powerpoint introducing the company and its products (supposedly, boss will show it to new clients, customers, workers etc.) on Wednesday, I was left with pretty much nothing to do on Thursday and Friday, WHICH I was happy too, as it gave me time to relax, pack my gear and slow things down just before I reach home ! People at the company I must say, have been more then helpful and friendly in the past few weeks. Boss himself thought me loads in both lifeskills and photog :)

This is basically how I spent my free time in the office and away when Im on my laptop and going out isn't an option :P
Ravenshield - Ive more or less played the entire Rainbow Six series, INcluding the first rainbow six up to ravenshield ! I did not try out athena sword or vegas. Lockdown I thought was a disappointment... Still, nothing beats Ravenshield and kicking terrorist butt and rescuing hostages amidst the bustle of the office :P

HL2 - Episode 1 ! Been wanting to try this out for a long time now, got myself a copy from Xi Dan and have since finished it ! Supposedly, it continues from where HL2 left off, alot of fighting in the citadel (the building you see in the screeny) but worst is ... its all in chinese !! Even Alex and Barney speaks in chinese.... nevertheless, it was a great installment, and I enjoyed every moment of it, ok maybe not the ones in the citadel, cause Im kinda sick of that kind of fighitng.... no skill one sia the zero point gravity munipulator... Can't wait for Ep2 to come out, and whats more, its gonna come out with TF2 !!! then theres They Hunger Lost Souls .... The halflife series basically comprised of quite a large portion of my gaming "career" ...... from sec 1 and all the way ....

Hercules

Super funny movie lar, when I watched it I was like - xiang dang nian ....

hahas, young herc lifting up father Zues by the finger :P

Getting accustomed to Zues's lighting bolts :P

This scene I like the most - Its the meeting between Hades (god of the underworld and the fates) The fates according to Greek mythology controlled the past present and future and the fates of everyone, meaning how long you live, what you will do each hour and second and etc. Suppossedly, even gods had their fates controlled by these 3 witches ! From right to left - One of the sisters spins the thread which represents one life, the other cuts the thread (meaning determines your death (the one with the scissors) and yet another holds it ! :P

They know all about the future past and present, but they are mostly reluctant (or maybe its their job) to reveal the future. OR so they say :P As you can see in this scene, they eventually give some major hints to Hades. And more out of point hints (the screeny below) to Panic (the blue monster who is one of Hades aides)
"~ oh no, we're not supposed to reveal the future !" .... - "... Indoor plumbing - It's gonna be big " hahas I had to freaking replay this scene a few times, was so funny :P

A movie I remembered watching on LD like EONSSSSSSSSS ago! Now I rewatched it after managing to attain a softcopy ! Its basically about this Perseus who has to find a way to defeat this monster called the kraken in order to save his wife to be, Andromeda (Judi Bowker) from being sacrificed to the Kraken. She had to be sacrificed, as a wish of one of the gods whom her mother had angered.

Given that the Kraken is like freaking twa kee, he has to go about finding an ingenious way to kill it. Obviously, at that time, airstrikes or WMDs are not at his disposal :P He goes on to seek the 3 stigeon witched - 3 blind sisters who are old and very intellectually gifted... unfortunately, they have a craving for human flesh too .... ok la i guess... noone's perfect :P

The 3 blind Stigeon witches using their "eye".

"He's not really plumb, but well built nonetheless (giggles)..."

Anyway, he manages to get an answer from them without being eaten in the process. Their solution - seek out medusa and ask her kindly to lend him her head, either that or do it the hard way !

Medusa was supposedly a chio bu, but she kept bitching about it, it angered one of the gods (female god ... again..) and so that god buay song, than change Medusa into some wretched creature, so horrible that one look directly at her alive or DEAD, was enough to turn any living creature into stone ! I don't know about you, but I ain't never gonna lay a hand on a gal like that .... I mean look at that sia... and she was SUPPOSED to be damn chio lar.... sux to be her :P

The only solution - Look at her reflection and you'de be fine. And oh yea, did I forget to mention, shes quite the archer too, which pretty much makes it dang hard to kill her ...
Anyway, the day arrives for the sacrifice, and beautiful Andromeda is BONDed to the sacrificial rock wall !

The Kraken makes his appearance to CLAIM his prize.

And gets turned into stone instead, and chuied.

And so Perseus and his new wife lives happily ever after bla bla bla :P
