ok today.
LAST day before the 5day NDP holidays. So, was abit more relac, just did my school report and like freaking 1700+++++++ words for just 3% .... like the 30% report how sia... must write thesis liao hahas.

So, the department decided to renovate our office area and move us around, there were many many MANY boxes. Ive said enough. Picture says it all.

Boxes large enough to fit a human being....

Happy Mid Autumn!

Yesterday was 中秋节! Hope all of you ate many many mooncakes (especially the girls, and grow fat, then you'll know how it feels like being fat for once hehehehe). Celebrated the night away by walking the streets and looking at young faggots release fireworks (like what sia.. at 11pm when people (LIKE myself, who is tired and have to wake at 630am tomorrow to go to work, they were still releasing those wretched fire flowers, so when in china, do what chinese do :P I sat back and enjoyed the wonderous fireworks display. An event which I normally enjoy only once a year back home.) and carrying lanterns... (like HULLOh.... the street lamps were invented for a reason...). Ofcourse, I have my moments, and I did take a few minutes to admire the fullness of the planet we call the moon in all its 360°greatness.

This couplemust have been thinking "pai simi l**, wanna take picture take without us in the frame la" hahahas.... but no lar.. they just walked past :P

To celebrate mid autumn, and oh man... it really is mid autumn here. The temperature is dropping, the wind is getting up (i was walking in the park, and I noticed how nicely the willow trees were swaying in the wind), and the maple tree leaves have turned bright orange red and falling. And better still, in some roads, pink sakura flowers rain down from their large overhanging branches... all this is just so dreamy.. (cause it is... I just made it up....... hahas)
But in reality, to celebrate, I went to watch No Reservations! Omg... whoever said Catherine is getting old is JOKING.... she is still young and hot as ever... omg.. and her .... omg .. and her in the chef uniform.... its like the best of both worlds.. (just like the fantasy of a certain - dressed in certain - in a lambo spyder... and with strawberrys all over :P) hey lets not get carried away now. But yea, it was a superb show for me. And as always, love the kitchen and the story plot. Would have been perfect if the SOB china bastard infront would not talk so loud on his cell.. back home, someone would have probably asked him to STFU..... and then theres this bastard sitting beside me, constantly repeating phrases in english to impress his gf or what not.... (like STFU man.... your english is just fucking -CHOR-.. so just shove a fucking sock in it and let us enjoy the movie...) like wtf..ccb... i think your not just embarrassing yourself, you are embarrassing ur gf as well lar...... and what's infinitely worse, you're pissing me off and not allowing everyone else to enjoy the great movie.
And in better news still, besides the above, Mr Johnnie as walked over !! That's right! After 2 weeks of continued searching aorund for the "non fake" black label, I have found it (atleast it matches all the details which the net said to look out for. Now I'm just left with one "problem" before I sit back, relax and enjoy - finding a way to make proper ice... (apparently, the ice tray in the fridge is satined with like black crap.... guess i'll have to use Jiff to wash it off).

This morning, boss also brought over one bigass moonie! and to top off the uniqueness of this mooncake, it was filled with char siew ... hahas. Betcha haven't had this shit before aye!

Yes yes... as you can see,its been raining over here.... and dammit to that.... I was about to go out after work last night, and realised it was raining so I canceled plans.... walking around the factory grounds in the rain isn't very attractive either, cause there are large open areas without shelter support, which people like myself who do not carry umbrella (ella ella eh eh eh eh eheh) have to walk under the rain WHICH totally ruins my hair.... atleast its not acid rain or something (but then again, you never know)....

Spent the weekend navigating about HuiZhou city with one of em’ colleagues and I actually got a pretty good idea of how close my place is to the places that I frequent (ren ren le, Hai ya shopping centre, park and shop, Vanguard). Thanks to him, I can actually walk from one place to the other rather then take a cab.

Spent like 114RMB worth on groceries…. (and I think that's a lot for groceries). Guess that leaves me pretty broke now, cause I have more or less used my budget for the week (I got a pair of Bang & Olufsen earphones as well !!! (I was actually pretty amazed that they have such a product in china :P hahas. That sucker’s gonna eat further into my paycheque, but I’ve wanted one of those in a long time :P)

The rest of Sunday and Saturday was then spent at home watching anime’s, day dreaming and reading SJH’s stress management book…. And OMG… for anime fans, Planete’s is a MUST watch... along with (school rumble, ichigo 100%, higurashi, haruhi suzumiya, jigoku shoujo etc.) Space travel mixed with corporate politics, love and humor, can’t get any better then that !

Then tonight's movie night! half price off movie tickets, so I've been told. Im gonna catch No Reservations by myself (because that is my life, and that is what I do.....).

Got my first "injury" ... some small scab on my finger. note - the blue boxes below are like shoe cover boxes. you step your show into the blue plastic film, and it wraps around your shoe :P another measure by the company to keep the labs and production areas clean.

Got another anonymous call last night .... which puts it to call number 4 in a month.... and also a nightmare... I was actually in one of Jonas's MRSH classes (one of the most memoriable modules I must say, after all the bonds and shit we went thru for the IP :D) and I went to the toilet.. Then as I was pissing, I heard the flush in the cubicle beside me activate! I peaked over the partition and saw that noone was there, but the flush was on, then I began to get scared. Suddenly, the toilet door closed shut... making the damn place dark as hell.

I paniced and like pee'd all over the designated pee hole, before running to the basin. (i remembered washing my hands without looking at the mirror at the basin, as I wanted minimise the risk of seeing something I did not want to see. I then reached for the door handle, and like wtf... there was no door handle.... i was trapped in that place for a minute or two, clawing away at hells door, before I realised that one of the plywood edges were peeled. I yanked the door open, and ran all the way back to class! When I looked at my watch, I saw the time was 9am and the date was 02 (the month I assume was the same as in reality). Then I realised that throughout my ordeal, the day and time had actually changed!

Then sometime after, I dreamt that I actually received a letter from the club president of some group of nut cases which had actually been trough ghostly encounters in NP, and I was like case number 1201 ! Which shocked me that there were so many cases.. hahas... but yea thats my nightmare first in MANY MANY years now..... (assuming that wierd ass dreams like being dumped is not considered a nightmare :P hahas... that dream lasted for like 1 min or so, was like "hey, I think we can no longer be together" then I was like asking why and shit, and I woke up with tears in my eyes.... like how gay can it get sia....:P)

A week of interesting events.... hmm, btw... yesterday whilst bathing (meaning I was naked in the showers and all :P) I had a thought, a realization or some might say, enlightenment! Ok, I actually realized that I mostly post food pictures on this blog... so I’ll try to take something a little more diverse next time beyond the realm of foodies.

Well, I called this week a week of weirds because of 4 main events. Firstly, I was invited to dinner by one of the managers from another department, cause I guess I had helped to translate some documents for him (some of you may know of it, cause I asked you for help). It felt kinda weird, initially I mean, like eating with a senior just the two of us…. But I guess after sometime it was alright. He wasn’t condescending or anything, and infact I thought it ended pretty alright in the end. His wife came along later towards the end, and she invited me to go over to their place for awhile, but I declined as it was getting late (830pm, I try to sleep at 10pm nowadays) and I had also left the plates and rice cooker unwashed from Monday’s prawn and rice cooking.

Second event, which is not really weird lar, was just that I had to move, from my big’ass private office to a normal office space. (my old place was being renovated, so they allowed me to use the private office :P) So that was not actually weird at all…. The third was the fire drill, I was apparently lucky enough to participate in the company’s supposed once a year fire drill. There were like colleagues who were taking videos of us during the drill, imagine that. I guess they did that so that they can watch it later to interpret any wrong moves.

So anyways, when the bell suddenly rang at about 4pm, the whole office moved down IN AN ORDERLY fashion, and cluster f*cked at the grassy knoll infront of the factory and office buildings (ok, it wasn’t a knoll, more of a slope). We took attendance, and then after the drill, proceeded to collect mooncakes which the company was giving out for free to its employees, that’s when we (me and another colleague incharge of collecting the departments stash) realized that my name wasn’t on THE LIST. (though I had already half expected that …… and I thought they were my company :P).

Fourth event…. Which makes this week interesting, would be the mooncake festival “party” this evening before after work. It actually seems that the company really puts in resources and efforts to upkeep employee health and happiness.

Haiz….. MOST of TB17 and the COD’s gone for their tour of duty to Vietnam…. Which only means one thing… more missing out on the gossips, booze nights and fun… atleast there’s someone who joins me in this suffering (right CEO..) ... :)

By the gods... they have banned Limewire.. Bittorrent.. AND all forms of blog viewing! Not only that, now they ban my last source of anime watching and downloading... http://stage6.divx.com/! And lets not forget that they fucking banned Steam too! What in the good lords name is going on in here !! arghh!!!!!!!!
Got myself a rice cooker over the weekend too, I've been told that you can cook almost ANYTHING inside a rice cooker, from water all the way to complete meals! Which ofcourse is the perfect cooing tool for me to use. The live prawns were not so live by the time I got home, they were like jumping less, but I'm sure they felt the "sensation" of the 100+ or so degree celcius water :D Anyway, they weren't the only thing that tasted great last night.

My first attempt to cook rice was not paricularly a crushing failure, but it was not a total success either. I had added too much water in it, resulting in a "glutinous" like texture! I had cooked 2 cups of rice, with an unknown amount of water... I followed moms istruction to measure with my finger, but that was to be to little. When I checked and realised that it was too dry, I paniced and added an unknown amount of water, which resulted in glutinous rice :P I had also added a solution of oyster sauce + sesame oil, which was actually not too bad tasting, it actually tasted like lor mai gai, and it even had the texture to it, but it lacked the chicken :P hahas. Gambatte neh! Will try again this weekend or whenever my big heap of "lor mai fan" is finished...

Ate at this place called "EASYPAY" on saturday, it was one of the more upperend cafetaria's, aside from the usual grutty little place I normally take my dinner at (ofcourse, any place is probably better then company's canteen if I want to enjoy my meal, though company does make it more fun than eating alone). Anyway, this place served western meals as well as chinese meals, imagine that. Steaks, spaghetti's and hor fun... I opted for a hor fun and a basket of fries :P

One unusual dish I did have, was cold noodles. Literally, this bowl of soup nodles was cold!, and to top it up, it had raw vegetables and the strong taste of vinegar.... thanks for the beef slices, or I'de have pushed this dish aside...... There was ofcourse dumplings to ease my "suffering" :P

Another great weekend passed by me! Saturday night was very fun, went to this place called 新歌试唱 for karaoke, and yes, I embarrassed myself with my chinese "accent" and inability to read many of the words (about 30% or more). But the colleagues were kind enough to overlook this matter :P Located conveniently next to this KTV was Club A8, so we naturally went over (I was actually quite surprised that they were willing to go to a club! Which was good)。

Found out later that it was not really a dancing club, but rather a club with tables and a few single platforms for dancers, but the music was good, a mixture of ENGLISH hip hop, techno and pop musics. But the BEST thing is the dancers AND cheap booze! Freaking like one long island tea for 6 sing bux... and its not the diluted kind can... then a bottle of Tsing Tao beer costs like 1 sing dollar... and the mixers are like 20sing bux for a jug sia.... I had my fix of island tea and 2 bottles of Tsings, and we danced danced ourselves into the night ! hahas.... like everyone mostly is stading around or sitting around the table chatting or playing, while we were one of the few tables with people dancing hahas! (got no poles lar tts the only downfall i guess..)

And don't get me started on the dancers man ... like wtf... 2 piece outfits.. mini skirts.. tight pants... uniforms... like fuck sia.. they know what customers want and their giving it ! Sometimes you can't really blame our men for going after chinawoman (well actually we can and we still will), but damn... if Im single and in china hell yea man.. if the opportunity crops up. I mean, they are so willing to give you what you want sia.. like wth... and its cheap summore (which btw, confirms KLiang's suggestion that you can get laid and drunk with just 25sing dollars! hahas.. throw in another 10 sing for protection and cab back home :P) But its alright, Im just here to observe and know the limits (like what shakeit said [till he was stopped by kelly] - "CHINA LEH!!!!") hahas..

Sunday was more productive, I woke up at 11am and went abit of street walking. In the end though, I got myself a nice electrical rice cooker (tonight it will be prawn cooker [winks at crabs]) as I shall affectionately dump in live prawns (WHICH they sell for like 3.5bux a kilo... without the water) into boiling hot water! Maybe add some whiskey or liqour for taste :P hahas which they sell cheap too, though I have been looking around and I don't seem to find original JW Blacks... atleast those that fit the profile of being original (as stated on the internet). So you guessed, last friday I did not get sauced after all...

Ah but sharks.. Ive spent too much now.. I spent like 150sing liao since I came here... on food, phone cards, rice cooker, water heater, food, food, food, food and tshirt and snacks and milk and cab fees.. etc etc etc. To think its cheap, considered what I have had with 150bux sing, but its still 150 sing, and thats a gawd damn lot to spend in 14 days!

best yet in 3 years !

GUess what !! tell you all a secret !! ------> TODAY IS FRIDAY!!!!!! And Im so happy !

muahahaha Im gonna buy a bottle of Johnnies to celebrate and gonna get myself chor! THen tmr wake up late then at night go karaoke with colleagues :P hahas.

PEACE OUT YO!

China's ban on blog viewing has now extended to livejournal and wordpress blogs... this is so depressing. Its like I am being cut off from the whereabouts and developments of my beloved friends and family members.....

In other news.... I may actually be able to apply for a multi entry visa, WHICH is always a good thing, cause it means "lei ho mo" I can go to Hong Kong !!!! Where ofcourse, things seem to be always brighter on that side of the pearl river delta...

This was my dinner ! I'm so happy that I found 饺子 or 水饺。Very close to where I live ! I swear I could eat like hundreds of these within a week. And they costs like 1sing buck for 16pieces.... unlike the usual 2 or 3 for like 4 or 5 miserable pieces in the coffeeshops on our sunny island...

Last night I took a stroll around my block, which I now think was not a very wise thing to do, given that it was dark and had little people around (but then again, taking that bike home on tuesday just to save 5RMB wasn't a really wise thing to do either... like tami stand on taking budget air just to save that few hundred bucks.) I'm surprised that there are actually many shops open like three 7-11 like stores, 3 toy/book stores and even.. a licquor store, where I can actually obtain Mr Walker or Miss Chivas at like SGD40 for the 70cl. bottle.... Then there were also 4 freaking food stalls open for supper.

Anyways, I walked into one of the 7-11 and heard this nice canto song just as I was about to walk out. I had like one foot out of the door when the song began to play on the radio, I stepped back in and began to listen to the piece while acting like I had forgotten to buy some bread... hahas. Searched it the moment I arrived in the office this morning and I found it ! As I began to know 惠州 more and more, it seems that PERHAPS, this city may actually have lots more to offer then I may have thought before. If this place is going to be my home for the next 5months, then when in 惠州,do what 惠州ian's do ! (though my trip to 人人乐plaza last night was a CRUSHING disappointment... instead of a plaza, I found myself in a super market......)

Ok ... it seems that for some jiao reason, the Chinese decided that viewing of blogspot was against their constitution... But we are still allowed to post... boohoo !

Monday, September 10, 2007

Perhaps I spoke too soon. The canteen lunch today was actaully quite sex, like chilli prawns with vege and tofu (freaking 2 of the 3 choices was my favourite lar), but I don't expect that all the time :P Was like wanting to cook some cup noodles for dinner yesterday and I realised.... the stupid kitchen stove was not functioning (or maybe I did not know how to work it).... So hunger drove me to rush down to the store nearby to get an electrical water heater. The lemon tea I bought was powered.... a basic grotesque mixture of chemicals that tastes like it was extracted from someone's arse.... and the damn tea leaves here are so expensive lar.. 10bux for one 250gm pack and the fancy packaging does not help either...like wth lar....
Anyways, the weekend for me was a blast. Spent my time in ShenZhen which is only like 2hours bus ride form there. Met up with XianLiang and went shopping with the bro, the mom, and aunt and the young cute 10yr old cous. I never thought we could bond on such a personal level (not gay please...) when I first met him.... (RG my indo frend, when's your turn :P) Dongmen is really like and I quote "shop till you fucking drop". The 3 ladies like walked for hours and we only explored like one block or so. We spent like 20+mins or more per shop, but this time, I was happy cause the goods were within my spending capacity :P unlike the zara or topman in sg.... freaking one T-shirt equates to like a quater of my monthly allowance gone and lets not forget photography takes precedence over my shopping list.... Hahas, the Fortune Duck ! A local fashion brand I presume. Sounds more like a cantonese or chinese restaurant to me (like the one we went in Perth's chinatown...)
We shopped from about 2pm when I met them. The streets were crowded, with people across wide age ranges. There were like clothes, shoes, electronic games (PS3 for 3000 RMB! And that is just the opening price mind you) Watches, bags more or less anything to do with fashion and entertainment they have it here.
This guy sells caramel coated fruit sticks? Im not too sure cause I haven't eaten em' before, but we see like lots of it around china. Some even have other fruits like strawberry's or kiwi's (I saw in BJing). Anyway, he was kind enough to let me take a shot of him close up.
This picture I took at about 8+pm! I opened the shutter a little longer to give the fast moving effect, but as you can see, its like 8+pm and the street is still as crowded as in the afternoon.
Ofcourse, wherever you go, Buckies ! is there for you (and Me!) :P Will try em' chinese caramel machiato next time hahas. But the prices are more or less same as in Singapore (atleast the one's in BJing....)
Finally, Mrs Hong and the 2 other ladies had their fill of shopping. This was where we took one of those "illegal" cab services. People who own their own cars basically park by the roadside, and offer to send us to our destination for a fixed price. Hahas. If whenever stopped by the authorities, just say the driver's your new family driver and you do not know his name. Motorcycles do offer such services too ofcourse (took one ride home from XiHu yesterday for just 6RMB! thats like 1.2sing?) hahas.... The place we took the cab from had a nice tower in the backdrop.... now this, next time the Eiffle, and I shall be there with my family and loved ones :)
Anyway, I got myself a nice shirt and a pair of pumas. Was considering getting my dad one with 2 gold dragons and chinese words on em', but the price was wrong and the biatch refused to negotiate (i guess I showed too much interest in it). Anyway, it would have made my dad look like a triad boss hahas.
Was at LouHu on Sunday looking around. Ended up buying one box of china beedees. I like used 3 and I had enough :P I offered the remainder to some guy on the road but he rejected to I just dumped em... and so thats my first self bought beedees.. hahas dumped after 3. I also got an RC helicopter for like 26sing dollars.... cheap as hell I tell ya... but yea, being a green horn I more or less chuied it... the propellers hit the walls and I like powered down the rotors too much when it was in the air, and it came crashing down.. together with my heart.... 26bux is still money after all, but well, I guess this is just one of those things you learn by experience...

Went to Xi Hu 步行街 for some roadside windowing (somewhat equivalent to Spore's chinatown streetside shopping) after work yesterday. Had 酸辣面 for dinner! Really great stuff, and you know what's more greater? I did not suffer any form of stomach upsetation (if there is such a term:P) The level of spice was just to my liking (unlike those tailored for "ang moh's" in some restaurants) and the noodles was new too, was like a cross between rat tail noodles and vietnamese glass noodles? Then there was like loads of peanuts inside! Which gave it that extra crunch and erm... nutty flavour hahas !

my love is fire and you are the wood - keep our fire burning

Hmm. I currently have to things going on in the office. Which is to create a sample catalogue, as well as be the export department’s loan shucks. Basically, what we do is to have to send out samples to customers before we began to process their actual orders. I have been given the task of monitoring the progress of the samples, and seeing that they are manufactured and sent out to customers ON time, which requires me to go over to the production manager and continuously bug him…. Either that, or to call up the warehouse or production line directly. (Owe Sample, Produce Sample). Everytime he (sample production manager) sees me, he gives the a smile and laughs in the (you again, come over to chase me for samples) tone [he is about 30 odd only].

Went down to the factory workshop today, to see the entire printing process. Brought me back some memories of the last time when I visited it, though I could not remember the “tour guide” last time. I think, that is indeed commendable, the fact that they actually invest in measures to ensure safety and health. Anyways, I went through the freaking printing room, I nearly had asthma attack sia… its like one freaking big gas chamber, with all the solvents inside, I’m surprised that the workers don’t get high on a regular basis. Its like they sniffing glue 8hours + daily sia, I bet asley would love to be in there man ;) Go in liao can get high real easy.

The temperature is nice and cool, and that is summer supposedly, I imagine it will be freaking cold in winter, given that it is like 3 or 4dregrees cooler then Singapore in summer. We will see. As for the canteen food ar…. Hiaz…. It cannot get any worse… but hey, I am a spoilt Singaporean brat, and if the managers and higher ups can CONSUME (gan bei, roll on floorz), then I guess by their standards it can’t be all that bad. Objectively speaking though, it is worse then my maids cooking HAND DOWN. And worse then S11’s zhi char food (the cooked foods that they display outside then slowly scoop for you). And wa lao eh… they firewalled STEAM, meaning no CS or DOD !!!....and also wth sia…. Some websites cannot be visited… (I tried to see photos of the COMEX, the nice ones with the NIKON and other models/show gals were blocked !!!!!)

The only thing "bad" about HK I guess, is that the peak hour is a clusterF* at the MTR (but sometimes, I lIkE :D)

Hong Kong was SUPERB! In fact, superb would have to be an understatement. In a sense, I now understand why ed has always had nice things to say about HK whenever it comes into conversation, how the eyes would “sparkle” and the tone of the voice excite. I have always no doubt that HK was a great place to be in, but my feelings were never concrete, given that my REAL encounter with HK (other than the family holiday) was just 2 days and a night (by myself) at a -SEX- apartment (not a brothel….. I’m just referring to crabs’ dads’ apartment) If I was single rich and young, I’d put up in a place like that, but well… I probably wouldn’t, I’m more of a family person (awwwww). There really is nothing more fulfilling than traveling by yourself OR with a loved one. I belief anyone who has done that will agree.

Anyways, I stayed at the same place again, but this time with zh and his colleague. The food I tell you is just de-fukin’-licious! We had like Outback steak house on our first night, and then it was ofcourse the 3 roast dishes with dumpling soup on the second.

Each hearty slice carefully roasted over charcoal fire and marinated with sauce :P
And the shopping… OMG... the shopping…. (and I do not really bother to shop, but when I was in HK … I actually enjoyed staying in freaking Zara or the ESpirit outlet for like 20-30mins… And oh man…. the girls…. What can I say, they really do doll themselves up. Ofcourse, there’s also the GREEN polka dotted donut shop, which adds to the fun joy and laughter. So that’s HK for me….

Egg and Milk dan dan (pudding). Not bad at all. Haven't seen this in SPore, though I believe chinatown confirm will have.

Aside from Timesquare at Causewaybay, I went to places like Mong Kok (lue yan kah) and Temple street. Saw an AK47 that costs a tad over 20sing, and lots of dildo's :P apart from other stuffs like pirated clothes and copy of original branded bags ofcourse.

This IS the real deal, the one I saw changed the "automatic" to "chronograph". Also, the numbers on the small faces were rearranged.

Woke up at freaking 630am today to get to the train station, and made my way to the KCR East line WHICH was conveniently located far away…. So I lugged my bigass 24kg luggage bag with my IBS sling bag WHICH had my freaking 1+ to2kg laptop AND to top it up, I had my red bag pack which held the Nikon and Canon… another 2Kgs I presume…. I reached Shang Shui (up water) station like freaking 40mins ahead of plan, so I had to sit at the platform and wait for jo. 04S12’s “Ah Bian” actually came into mind as I watched the trains pass by. In a million years I never thought I would actually think of her, this is a weird place to do it…. So much so I actually did not realize the FARKING stinkin’ crap bag that had plunged HIS ass next to mine on the platform chair…. Till abit later....

Met up with jo, and we headed straight to the office before even seeing the apartments. He laid it out CRYSTAL clear for me. “Your failure will affect us” etc etc etc. I really want to excel in this OIAP, and hope that I will actually leave a good impression upon them. The language barrier though, is abit of a “problem” for me. I mean, talking to them is not a problem, cause they understand English, so when I am not sure of a term, I just sub in English. The problem comes when the instructions they give me is in Chinese…. And the systems are all in chinese. I guess we’ll just have to see.

After work, they like brought me/ us. To this freaking nice restaurant to eat, I guess sort of as a welcome back dinner? The food was great, there was like this freaking big plate of fried prawns….. and the mood also lightened up. I was afraid that I had like left jo a bad impression of some kind from like 3 sems ago or cause I “insisted” that someone (who would inevitably be him) come pick me up from HK. Anyway, the outside was raining like crap when we went home…. Took the cab to the outside of the apartments, which we in the end had to race WHICH has the added bonus of dragging 30kgs worth of gear IN THE HEAVY flood/rain. Lucky the laundry service is daily… can get all the rain soaked cloths and socks washed up nice and clean. The apartment I can say is …. Home Sweet Home –really-. The water heater still uses life fire and gas, the toiled flush is still a plastic pipe connected to the basin, and the fridge is still filled with COKE and mon milk ! I think I may bloody well have a nice time here. Will be checking the store next door to see if they still sell the G36k and XM airsofties :P

Anyway, this is where I'll be in for the next 6months. Its not much, but I guess it will do... on a more gay note, hope all the pictures and memories of all of you will last me through many lonely nights. It’s a good thing I met up with all of yall before I left…..

The word Ratatouille comes from "touiller," which means to toss food.

It uses only zucchini (courgettes), tomatoes, green and red peppers, onion, and garlic. The dish known today as Ratatouille adds eggplant to that mixture.
As taken from Wikipedia, never thought that a simple dish of vegetables can inspire such a nice movie.. like the guy(who came up with the idea) was eating this at a street side when he spotted a rat? Anyway, my week of NO HOLES BARRED fun and enjoyment comes to an end with this movie @ Marina Square with the COD (partial). I must admit, that the storyline was quite captivating, as well as the occasional "emo and funny" parts of the movie. Some of the "words of imspiration" like "we are limited only by our soul" and something along the lines of "only the brave can become the greatest chef".
This movie kinda appealed to me, because not so long ago, I was actually contemplating a career in cooking .. but because of the negative image of Shatec and also cause I saw thought about it (a life in a hot stuffy and sweaty kitchen being shouted at especially in the beginning) and my dad not really willing to send me abroad to study cookery, this "dream" sort of died off slowly. I do however still enjoy cooking :) Somehow, this show, together with hanging out with mums chef at cypress recently, inspired me to cook something soon... but I guess other then simple maggi, I do not really have much time nor desire to do anything else for now :P
I'm happy to say, that I have managed to more or less spend my time most wisely, though the timing was very tight, I managed to meet up with all my friends especially those of whom I had not seen in ages. (Tb29, DS, JQ, gang "c6") thankyou for all agreeing to meet up and have this last fun with me before I head off to PRC to 5+ fcking months... ... I only look forward to March 3rd now, and February 3rd when I reach back home to Singapore (STILL A virgin). hahas. Can have fun, can talk cock and play, but I do know the boundaries !
