Been going out ALOT lately, bank reserves depleting to retardation levels liao. Though yesterday, some guy/company known only as "GC" deposited 100bux into my account.. . hmm I can only think of 2 possible sources - "AVIVA insurance" and the yearly government dividends thingy.

Weird note - I actually miss the office now ... as in working with "carrot" and Moorthi's "right and man". We talked alot of shit in our time haha ... (and watched a shit load of crazy movies, from Rambo to Ali G). Ah Siao is also another character to be missed (so much power in such a lesser experienced person) hahaha ...

Anyways, once again I wish all people out there a happy CNY. (especially em' chicks : if you want a no holes barred [ofcourse that includes no responsibilities] day date, me the one you lookin' for :P lesbians also OK, gays can fuck off. lol.... so despo liao ...)

the crazy incident

Was at Mount E yesterday, and I left my wallet with mums (which conveniently includes my 11B, cash, bus cards and every other fuck shit important for the normal functions of my day to day activities).

I discovered this mishap only THIS MORNING at the bus stop just as 189 was about to dock .... I ended up going all the way to camp without my wallet, in hopes that I will still be allowed in. At the guard room, the chao private/recruit of a guard (i saw him booking in fresh from BMT a week after I booked in) refused to allow me to enter the compound ... ... I asked/ tried to reason but to no avail. He simply told me there was nothing that he could do or no solutions he could offer (not even if I called down an officer to verify my identification.)

Anyways, ah siao gave me the whole day to retrieve the 11B, so tomorrow I will report back to camp. "he who does not velcro" also called me later this afternoon, to "verbally reprimand" me for not bringing my 11B, and also to "INVITE" me over for CNY reunion dinner at camp should I forgot the 11B again :P (first time anyone not related to me at all has invited me to reunion dinner, guess I should be happy)

Ok so I gained about slightly under 2 kilos in a month ...
Had one to many longan slurps (longan in iced syrup...)
and one to many plates of Mee Pok tah in my 6 meals a day routine...

8am BF
10am Tea time
12pm Lunch
3pm Snack
6pm dinner
9pm (supper, but not always, though it is still bad)

Just hope that my new tentative "DESK job/ clerk" (though I'm not one by vocation..) will make me eat less.

Today the warrant officer was in camp, so things were quite shitty, cause he began to do "audits" on all the files. Lo and behold, he dug up piles of bullshit which had been accumulated by the previous guy at my desk as well as by me in the past 2 weeks.

2LT's always around in the office, but though he is of higher rank, he is like a friend. Someone the same age and therefore we can click well. The other commanders are also mostly busy with their stuff, and they also can't really be bothered with petty day to day administrative work and red tapes crap.

Anyway, poor sergeant, as much as I tried to coverup, WO smelt foul play and decided to go through the registers himself, and the 3SG Regular ended up signing 2 EXTRASSsss (just for taking the car out for 30mins to send another 3SG somewhere WITHIN camp, without signing out the car keys.) My anus had its fair (or rather unfair, cause it was less compared to the others) share of screwing cause the log books were in a mess and the system which I had kept in place was crumbling as a result of endless hours on the PSP and my MP3.

Anyways, just wanna survive through this few weeks without incident, then I can happily get on with driving course. Guess what I experience is just a small portion of what SAF clerks go through on a regular basis.

That said, DO NOT look down on these people (even though some of these SOBs keng and wayang to get that post, which I most FUCKING detest... not out of jealousy, but I just hate ppl who keng, cause they most likely caused alot of trouble for someone else.... which is fucking selfish and fucked up attitude).

For the others who just got posted as clerks for proper reasons, due respects to you for having to put up with so much BS office work daily, even better if you do you work well. This "clerk" vocation, I believe I have experienced just a small nibble of the full thing, and what I can say is - its paradise at times, but when the shit does hit the fan, it turns to hell :)

Pass VS Present - 1939 Argus C3 RF VS 2004 Voigtlander Bessa R2A

The new Bessa R2A FINALLY arrived on saturday 3rd Jan, which made it a pretty good new years day gift for me :D accompanied with the nokton 35/1.4, and its lower price compared to its summilux brethren by Leica, makes it an awesome RF to behold (one can say mai hiam buay pai or you get what you pay for), but i think this is a better deal anytime (unless ofcourse you do professional photog and/ or churn out the big greens like not many mother's son can do) then ofcourse by all means go for the lux. (not everyone can afford a lambo or ferrari)

For easy reference, this is a comparison of the nokton VS the lux.
Image quality not that good as its small and been resized (you needa click on the pic to enlarge for better viewing). Top left and bottom right are Leica shots on the M8. Done by someone and posted on one of the forums. These 2 pictures has the unique "leica glow" that the nokton lacks. (paired with superior glass quality and made in GERMANY), you will pay about 6X as compared to the nokton. Something a NSF simply CANNOT afford...

Anyways, hope to do a test run on the R2A over the weekend.
