Its that time of the semester again, where I stuff my mouth full of goodies whilst doing the books.... h3h3. The problem I face now is this. I loose weight etc. during the semester, only to gain whenst the xam period starts .... HIAZ ZZ vicious cycles...

Scones with margarine and strawberry jam - CHUNKY strawberry jam !! and the scones were homemade too, by none other then mummy ! (note the thumbdrive and phone cord, meaning I ate it in the bedroom which I did, whilst doing MRSH ....)

Mocha vanilla at Coffee Club, ofcourse I changed the lousy vanilla icecream to strawberry .. .. .. This was like 2 weeks ago, but i tot ide post it anyways !
A pleasant surprise ! I was like taking the usual bus route 151, from school to home when I met this on the bus !!! Apparently some company went all out to market their product !! (I think it was Nokia... but I din get the reason why Nokia wanna focus so much on lounge setting .... considering the sell handphones...) hahas but cool huh, I htink all buses should be like tt :P and that this ad should get like Top 10 or Top ad of 2007 :P

preposterous ! absolutely absurd ..... - stupid. Just one week ago, I was ROCing (relac one cornering), I mean not really per se, but it was more lax then my other previous weeks. Today, I find out that Market Research common test paper is on the 4th of June a.k.a. next monday.. I've got eggsactly ONE week to study 6 chapters.... meaning 1 chapter a day and 1 round or 2 chapters a day and 2 rounds (I wouldn't dare venture for 3 chapters a day and 3 rounds - qauality NOT quantity, counts)

My happy life more or less slows down, and I hit the books for Market Research..... the same damned topic that so conincidentially has business statistics entwined with it ..... I thought after stats in year 2, I would no longer have to face it again - I was wrong, oh SO wrong ....

So, I look forward to the holidays, whereby I got to interview some stupid sales manager.... for some retard assignment, but whereby theres the possibility of a nice trip to JB and/or the big BDae celebrations ! Then ofcourse theres always phuture round the corner and that nice shortcake I intend to dwelve into after the exam :) For now, its MRSH all e way !

OK, so Ive been splitting my time amongst a few things lately. And it seems that every freaking weekend, something has to come up .... HP printer spoil, dry cupboard spoil ... and most recently my ACER laptop adaptor spoil..... hahas And then theres the constant nagging projects and deadlines to meet. WISP report and Powerpoint .... teacher like gave us one extra week, but she asked us to do an extra task, which is to produce a full fledged report... like wth sia... everyone else has to just do a simple powerpoint, but NOOOOOooooOO T72 has to go beyond the call of duty, do a 10+ page report .... Market research Questionnaire, EMarketing report ... haiz... so many reports to hand in, its almost routine liao.

Lucky for me, teammates are very committed, and I do not have to deal with very big problems like stubborn free loaders or slackers etc. Ive got peers who are going through worst shit. Anyways, this week was not too bad, thanks to the various Elearning modules, meaning that all I needa do is to just go school for projects...

School like started at 12pm today, so I had a hell lot of time to go to the Robinsons sale at centre point !! :D Got myself 2 business pants for the up coming IBS data gathering call and a nice cherry pie :P Spent some quality time with mom !
WISP project - Religious intolerence hahas ... the many symbols of our various religions. Some freaking look like it came out from star trek or something sia :P
Got my hands on F.E.A.R extraction point !!! Lucky I did not buy from china last time ... the chinese version hahas... Can imagine the soldiers speaking to me in chinese (eeeeek.. sends a very human chill down my spine! )

This weeks comparatively more "si nang" than the last 3 weeks I should say, however, projects are still available for doing ... such as a presentation and report handing up tomorrow ... :P But it seems that everyone has been elivated to a point in which 1 or 2 small projects nolonger bother us. A semester or a year ago, we would probably be all "stressed" over tomorrows 1 project presentation and report submission, but now this seems nothing as compared to other sh*ts which we have gone through in the last 3 weeks. Ofcourse, staying back in school and coming back late is still mandatory, but the mental/ physical energy used is lessened. Perhaps/ I belief with little doubt that this is more or less a small taste of university life. I sometimes relish the thought that I will be taking a break from studying for 2years by becoing a dog of the army...

Today as I said, was rather relaxing, cause other then the retarded MCOmm tutorial, which was also rather lax for my group/ myself (we had bothered to properly do the tutorial yesterday, so when the teacher asked us to break up into groups to do the tut, we just sat around chatting cause ours was already done :D ) Then there was the MCOMM lecture, which was rather disappointing today ... or was I just not in the mood ... The lecturer actually printed out notes for us, and refused to upload the notes onto meL, this is nodoubt good for us, but the topic taught was not really interesting, or so I thought. After the lecture, about more then half the class headed down to Holland for lunch at Essential Brews and then to NYDC for desserts !! This I hope is a sign of close bonds being forged within the class, will just have to wait and see :) Then it was back to school again for IBS lecture and finalisation of WISP project submission for tomorrow !

Got the chance to try out the Canon EOS-1D today. This camera's shutter speed can go up to 1/16000 second with continuous fire of 8 frames per second ! Anyone with any ideas of getting this monster, its costs just over 2k for a 2nd hand :P It used to cost 10, so be thankful that it is 1/5 of the price now.

Anyways, had planned to do some of the projects WHICH just don't seem to stop coming ...... but ended up relaxing one corner and later going out for photo shoot at kallang ! In the end, we did not do much shooting either.... hahas.. today was spent messing around with the 1D and goign around the various 2nd hand shops around peninsular plaza to scoop out prices for my plan to get a PB-E2 power drive for my 35mm EOS-1. (lucky I had not gotten one for the F65 .....)Also, got the chance to visit the old site of Cypress Cafe, which is now some tourist agency ... Im guessing that power drive cum battery pack would set me back another S$150 .... so ..... BIG BIG decision and consideration to make first, before getting it. Not to say, the camera alone is already freaking heavy WITHOUT the lens ... (800+gms) easily a kilo + with the lens. Add in the PB-E2 with additional AA batteries, and Im looking at lugging 2kgs around. So PRICE and maybe weight would be a consideration for now, plus I already spent some on a new lens this month....

Anyways, we celebrated Mummy's day today, had a family dinner together, mum prepared mee hoon kuay, and we all sat together just like old times, eating mee hoon kuay. Couldn't be more better, except this time, sis was not with us ...

After dinner, we went down to the new hagen daz at centre point. The place was like super chui lar... quality was like shit too, and given that it was close to closing time, lots of ingredients were not available... The new menu also saw some costs cutting.... fresh fruits were no longer availabe for the "Create your own Sundae" selection ... and the scoops of ice cream was just an utter insult to me ... I mean, I understand that costs are rising and shit, but they shouldn't really cut down till so much lar... one things for sure, we won't be visitng hagen as often as we used to for now... Then when my moms order came, they even left out the whipped cream and tried to pass it off as a complete dish.... dad called out the manager and gave him what for. Haha, could see the manager's expression when my dad was like telling him how he worked for an american company with 400+ outlets in asia etc. etc. :P Seriously lar ... the 3 scoops of ice cream was a disgrace.. . the whole dish looked like something my maid put together... 3 scoops, sprinkle nuts, pour chocolate over and add a wedge of store bought biscuit .... for S$14.90 ... this was more or less the biggest rip off of my week..... (not including the measely 10mark Market research project which I just submitted on wednesday, which was the hardest 10 mark I ever tried to earn in my entire NP career....)

After that, we dropped mom off and headed for our usual dose of mmid night movie . Todays movie was 28 Weeks Later ! Overall, I would say that it is good in the action and all, though the first like 20mins or so of the movie was pretty boring. The director also conveniently left an opening for perhaps part 3 of the series. The key I would say, of the virus's success is human compassion. It is clearly shown, in the beginning, the dad made the decision to leave his wife, and he survived. The wife decided to go all "hero" to save a boy which wasn't even hers and she eventually got infected... then theres the old couple who decided to stay behind and "block" the door. Their sacrifice was duely noted with a bite to the neck and face. .. . Then at the end, when the sister let the boy follow her though she knew that he was infected, she got the heli pilot and herself killed .... (supposedly) ... lesson learnt - though its a hard choice to make, when the person is infected, no mater who she/he means to you, you've just got to let go. So ya, that was the movie and highlight of the day !

Happy Day !

3 reasons why today is a happy day for me !!!!

1.0
Marketing Research Proposal is finally DONEEEEE !!!!!! The entire group have been like slogging it out for the last 2 weeks, EVERYday that we can meet, we have met.... (including most lunch breaks) The outcome ???? ----- > The BESTEST and MOST profound research proposal of all :P to me atleast. Though its kinda sad that our entire hard work amounted to no more than 140+kb on the harddisk :P

2.0
Got a chance to attend the 60th ani celebration of SIA !! Feel so preveiledged sia ! Like the cocktail party we are gonna have for IBS, only this time, its FOR REAL !!!! But the people there ar..... like CEOs .... and big shots cause only SIA life members were invited. Ofcourse I felt a little small lar .... hahas. Lucky for me, got some nice SIA lady from sales dept willing to entertain me whilst dad talked to the big fishes :P It is really the life lar ... free flow champagne and wine, VERY VERY good food ... nice tango dance performance by some group from argentina ..... I could really get used to this ---- and die of liver failure :P Bloody hell sia, the lady i was chatting with was like "complaining" sia.... too much rich foods to eat liao ... so she missing the normal foods ... hahas..

Me and daddy ~ in the company of two lovely singapore girls :P

3.0
The Canon lens arrives !!!!!!!! Well actually not per se.. I cancelled the ebay order and got one from a local seller instead, and a better one too !! 28-105mm MK1 for S$150 !! Hua Suan hor !! hahas. Lucky I decided not to invest a good S$60+ on the crappy kit lens :P Rather pay the xtra for a better built one ! Freaking hell can't wait to shoot away this weekend at Chinatown/ Little India sia !!
CHIOOOOOO ar !! hahas. My F65 can rest in the digi cabi for now :P cause Daddy's got a brand new bag !! hahas the guy who sold me the lens was like awed to see me using the EOS-1 :P Then he was like telling me how he too owned one as well as a Nikon F4 !!!! and on how he made some good buying decisions and some bad ones and about his life of photog! Perhaps one day I shalt have such stories to tell someone else :P

THEY JUST KEEP COMING !!!!!!

Swarm after swarm, the deeper you dig, the more shit you unearth !

In the past 2 weeks, Me,Syd,Lene and Rene continuously hold back reinforcements after reinforcements of enemy, and fight back flanks after flanks of cannon fodder ! Churning up and crafting out a report in 10days which used to take us one semester... whoever said marketing was going to be easy anyways ?

Been meeting up like EVERY single day that we can meet in the last 2 weeks..... which means all days except labour day and thursdays .... Group project works are really beginning to take its toll on the group. The last time I actaully stayed back to do such hard core unforgiving project works was last semester TOWARDS THE END for OperationsManagement project.... now is only week 4 and we're already enduring this .... only God knows what lays ahead.

Today was yet another day of days.... Stayed back right after school at 1pm till 730pm. At about 5pm, when we were all in "lala" land and at witts end, we received a mail with sample reports from our seniors. And one freaking depressing mail it was .... we realised that our standards were somewhat NOWHERE near the sample reports... but, better now then later when we get graded down :P thnx to guitfreak for the mail, he was taking it no better, and he too was staying back to complete his projects.

Like I say, underpass @ NP will really bring back many "xiang dang nians" memories... all the countless projects (INCLUDING the OM project) which was finished there, and all the friends which I met there including Nav :)

My Canon need not wait any longer !!! Managed to get a EF 28-80mm, f 3.5-5.6 II lens from ebay :P ok, so it doesn't have IS and is a kit lens, which means its not real good, but hey, I pay peanuts I get monkeys right. (I mean, for 46US bucks, INWHICH 25 was spent on shipping ... I can't expect much right ..) So until my funds get smooth flowing again, it will have to make do. hahas, imagine an EOS-1 with this lens :P OK, so IF al goes well (payment, shipment) I should be able to get it in 2 weeks or so, just hope it doesn't screw up again like when I bought the eos-1..... UPS like messed up the delivery. BUT, IF all goes well, and I eventually get a DSLR, I will be selling/ giving off my F65 and keeping this Canon as a backup film. You know, some people say digital is the way to go, film will fade off eventually. I say, look at the compass VS GPRS :P The army and boy scouts still teaches you to read the compass don't they ??? hahas.

Projects SEEMS to be going well, but quality wise I still am not too sure. Atleast my group is motivated to work hard. Deadline was extended too, from Monday to Wednesday, which warrants us more time to do the core project, unfortunately, I still don't see the spirit, or as my school puts it - that something X'tra ! in the work and the work group. I have confidence that we CAN reach that level, but I just do not know if we can reach that level in within 6months. (my previous group took about that time to a year). Perhaps Im just too worrisome, I tend to dwell on worry. Sometimes, I feel weird having nothing to worry about... is this something I should be worried about ?? - worrying over having nothing to worry about? Ah shucks ! hahas... it all gives me a headache :P Cheers to my new group mates and our group ! May we prosper in AD's :D

Attended Aldersgate at Kev's invite, and this brother, I must say is a REALLY blessed person. Did not really get to talk muc , but the little interaction Ive had with him in the past 3 weeks gives me a very positive image of what God has done to him. Infact that "aura" if you will, could be sensed by me in the first weeks of meeting this guy. (nothing gay whatsoever....) Anyways, it was a talk on "Would Jesus watch MTV" hahas, really interesting topic, which was what interested me to go for it. Anyway, earlier, the youth group had picked out 6 MTVs to "study" on, which were Smack that, Promiscuos, something by sissor sisters, sexy black, another one which I so conveniently forgot ... and Hips Don't Lie.

Like I couldn't belief it lar, what were the odds of them picking out one of my fav pieces and then also, of the 6, assigning it to our group (Kev's caregroup) to study :P, ofcourse, there was no Godly messege to be found inside, but I was like so paiseh to tell Kev that I actually loved this piece and that I had listened to it on the way to Aldersgate :P but lets just keep it that way. It was good to see FMSS/PS again, spent like 10 freaking years in those 2 schools WHICH were so conveniently connected together, meaning there wasn't really anything new for me, transitioning from Pri to Sec school... but nonetheless, it brought back memories. .. haizzz

my definition of fun knows no boundaries when I go no holes barred !!!

PROJECTS PROJECTS PROJECTS !!!!!!!!!!!! Really killing the team... they say year 3 is easy cause there is less exam papers (I only have common test for 1 paper of 7 modules, so ya..) A full report WHICH we used to take a whole semester to hand in now requires to be done within a week. Its just retarded lar... so much so that my team members are beginning to neglect other non core module projects... and thanks to that, on the eve of submission, it leads to more pendomonium....

I just HOPE that by the end of Monday, when we have submitted the core 7day deadline report, we all get a chance to blow off some steam.

Then theres this module WHICH I absolutely love, IBS (interactive business skills), but have to submit some sales call proposal. Basically, students are supposed to play the role of a sales person, trying to sell an item or service to the teacher. We will then be graded on how we dress, etc. A video below shows an example of one :P
