My week in a wrap, Its da weekend again !!!

What place is this ... that blocks sites like Wikipedia, Blogspot and Biblegateway... China has once again (or Beijing atleast) stepped up its guard on net access. Just 2 weeks ago, I was able to access blogspot blogs freely, this week, I have been denied such freedom. This really shows the authority the government has over its people. What you surf is merely what the government allows you to surf. Anyway... Im counting it a blessing that those in power has not atleast denied me access to creating entries, as such, I can continue to document my stay :P btw, I know someone left a comment on my last post, unfortunately I cannot read it due to this great firewall of china (quote :dkiwi), but thanks for reading :)

Given the poor basic computer setup and availability of programs on the office's default computer, this was inevitable ..... at 256mb RAM, the office's hardware can be a REAL pain to work on..., hence my worthy and faithful assistant.

OK, so I was tasked to update the company's powerpoint presentation, I added in this picture, which is in essence the picture of an apple chip storage container (this is where the factory at Datun stores the goods before packaging. Anyway, boss told me to remove this picture cause it did not really potray a positive image of the company (as you can clearly see from the numerous dents on the machine.... AND this was supposed to be new equipment.... ) So, I thought that this would nonethelesss be a relevant part of the process, so I added it in anyway, but AFTER some minor adjustments :D

Tada !!!! Its amazing what digital imaging technology can do these days :D

Away from the office behind closed doors, I've discovered my new game, that is Google Earth ! Pretty amazing program, in that I can see anywhere in the world with the click of a mouse button ! The place I grew up in, in red box, the RSYC in blue [good food, good gym, good pool, tho I mostly use the good food part only :P] And in the light green, the Cheese Prata shop and others, pretty popular place for NUS students and people around the neighborhood :) My aim, to add in as many pictures as possible to un pictured places on the Google Earth network, look out for KNNOngQW the next time you use GE and view a picture :D

For those in the know, Canon recently launched a new product in the line of its professional EOS-1 Series - The Canon EOS-1D Mark3, which has now succeeded the Mark2N ! And so, the question everyone is now asking - The whole world now holds their breathe in anticipation of Nikon's answer to this monster !

Will we be seeing this anytime soon ?? Did Nikon launch the D40x as a diversion/ to buy time ?? (Launching the D40x so close to the launch of the D40 is supposedly a marketing strategy error, but perhaps its part of the strategy after all ????) Only time will tell .... In a world where the Lamborghini's of camera's [Canon's Mark2 is currently selling at about 12kSGD BODY ONLY... as with any other professional level cameras]costs as much as a small car (just as a Lamborghini costs as much as a house), nothing can be certain !!!
