The week started off with a DUTY on Sunday 29th November. Came into camp at 9am, was activated to send a patient to the medical centre at 1115am . .. . for - STOMACHACHE . . . I was like thinking to myself (lucky he got rank . . . cannot scold him) but I made his life a "miserable" as possible by making him wait till the medics begin to call me on the office phone while I read the New Paper article on Ms Lo and the Mumbai shootings while drinking the free red packet SAF 3 in 1 coffee. Afterward's, I made them wait in the AIRCONLESS minibus while I chatted up with my TDS friend on the pretence of looking for someone to sign my log book. (you may think that I'm just wasting my own time in the end, but anything to make their journey to the medical centre as painfully boring as possible, I will do).

I think the army should actually thank me, cause I am discouraging people from malingering. This was accompanied by my "modified" style of driving, and my "f" face expression throughout the entire trip. Ofcourse I made it a point to ask his buddy (LTA) to come out of the vehicle and guide me while I reverse (though I dun bother to look at him when I do so) and I dropped them at the back entrance carpark rather then the main entrance (I don't know the place ah sir ... never come here before ... standard act blur live longer sh*t).

How did I come to the conclusion that he was malingering ? Most of them generally are, cause if its really serious, the ambulance in camp would have been activated (and it would me my colleague and not me who would drive). Then ofcourse, there was also the "stomachache" reason, which is crap lar... even I have had stomachaches incamp before, but what did I do ? Just suck it up and stay in the toilet more often and drink more water lar ... on my previous duty, last tuesday, the patient was even worse. . . I dunno if he was a chao recruit or private. Got the balls to tell me summore (I never keng lar, I even told the doc not to gimme MC, cause tomorrow I on leave). i'm thinking "f'ing hell, if you on leave tomorrow, your stomachache cannot freaking wait till tomorrow ah ?! must activate me at 11pm to send you out... "

Anyways, its been a great week, cause there was no duty other then the sunday one, and clem decided not to take off on wed and thurs (though he should lar . . so i belief). Migraine plagued me again on my sunday duty (I vomited 4 times in camp... but did I activate the ambulance driver ? NO!) On thursday too, I got migraine again, but this time I was prepared with panadol extra. I was actually supposed to drive to the petrol station (about 7km away) to top up, but clem saw me poppin' pills and told me not to. Initially I was all cool about it, saying I can do it (AND I CAN), but when I was vcomming prawns to the station, I was actually glad that I was not driving (nodoubt I would not crash the vehicle and all, but it would not be an enjoyable drive lar. . . no sense in making myself suffer for no reason).

I went to CHOMP CHOMP! on thursday night too !!! I dunno if the others knew it, but it was freaking enjoyable for me lar, cause it was like something different in a long time.. . . it broke the "west area" routine (particularly JP) .

I can't wait for the 10KM run on sunday sia . . . hope it will be as enjoyable as AHM :)
